There are hundreds of community projects around Maemo, but some are especially remarkable, providing a unique contribution to the project.

Getting a list of these projects would help to

Note that OSiM World and the Maemo Summit are happening in '''very''' different and distant parts of the city. The recommended location is in Berlin Mitte, close to the Maemo Summit and, well, in the Mitte of Berlin. :) Public transport in Berlin is excellent anyway.

September is very high season in Berlin due to congresses, concerts, the Marathon... At least in the Mitte quarter many hotels of 3 and 4 stars are quite booked. Still, it depends a lot on the exact night you are staying. Be fast!

The closest hotel with rooms available (checked on July 18) is the [http://www.luisenhof.de Luisenhof]. Very nice one, old and stylish. If someone wants to share, there were double rooms at 109€ total breakfast included. No Internet, though (but c-base has free wifi and is just in a 2min walk).

People who may want something a bit classier than a hostel (presumably not sponsored by the Maemo Software Team) may be interested in this [http://www.berlin-landmarks.com/mitte_hotels.html list of hotels] which should be near the venue. September is very high season in Berlin due to congresses, concerts, the Marathon... At least in the Mitte quarter many hotels of 3 and 4 stars are quite booked. Still, it depends a lot on the exact night you are staying. Be fast!

The closest hotel with rooms available (checked on July 18) is the [http://www.luisenhof.de Luisenhof]. Very nice one, old and stylish. If someone wants to share, there were double rooms at 109€ total breakfast included. No Internet, though (but c-base has free wifi and is just in a 2min walk).

People who may want something a bit classier than a hostel (presumably not sponsored by the Maemo Software Team) may be interested in this [http://www.berlin-landmarks.com/mitte_hotels.html list of hotels] which should be near the venue.
